Diet

  1. Decrease refined carbohydrates. Insulin resistance, cause by excess carbohydrates, causes inflammation which increases joint degeneration. Eat foods that are full of omega-3 fatty acids. These include:
    nuts, seeds, and cold water fish.
  2. Evaluate your diet for food sensitivities and allergies.
  3. Avoid nightshade plants such as: tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggplant, and tobacco. These plant foods are known to trigger inflammatory reactions in some people.

Lifestyle

Exercise is very important. Strength training and low impact aerobic activity.

Supplements

  1. Mild Arthritis Fish Oil – Carlson Labs Finest Fish Oil – 1 tablespoon daily OR Your Rx For Health Super Omega-3 Fish Oil Capsules 3 capsules twice daily.
  2. Glucosamine/Chondroitin – We have two formulas, either will do: Glucosamine/Chondroitin by Your Rx For Health 1 tablet three times daily OR if you prefer capsules over tablets useJarrow’s Glucosamine Chondroitin 2 capsules twice daily.
  3. Zyflamend 2 capsules twice daily.
